Nigel is the Learning Solutions Consultant at Kanuka Consulting, principally in charge of helping organisations unlock their full potential of learning. Nigel has spent well over 20 years in Education, Training, Learning and Development and Learning Technologies from schools, to government to corporate and military. His speciality lies in the use of learning technologies and has post graduate qualifications in both education and training management as well as a computing background. Nigel is also one of the Directors at Kanuka, a position he's held since 2014.
Additionally Nigel is also the Manager for Quality, Teaching and Learning and Waiariki Bay of Plenty Polytechnic; the fourth largest technical institute in New Zealand based out of Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. The role manages a team of advisors who cover quality, programme and curriculum development, educational technologies and teaching & learning practices. Nigel joined WBoPP in 2015.
Previously Nigel has held numerous roles as a high-school teacher, a naval education officer, a training manager, an instructional designer and a manager of learning technologies for the region for one of the biggest learning companies globally.
He's also a husband and father of two kids, and proud owner of one of the dopiest dogs around.
